skcstandingrockThis is the 6th wall I have painted nationwide in Support of Standing Rock. This one is in New York City in Williamsburg. It is on the corner of Waterbury and Scholes st. I finished it late last night into the early morning of January 16th. The left side was painted in the snow. On the right 6 arrows lie underneath a symbol for water. A seventh arrow shoots towards a dollar sign representative of greed and the current United States government. On the left a native figure stands with a contemporary Anasasi Lightning pattern crossing through him. A black dot representative of oil lies in the middle of his stomach. Stand with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Right now we need to put continued pressure on the Army Corps of Engineers.
One month after it was mandated they would, the Corps has neglected to log its intent to conduct an Environmental Impact Statement. This makes it so Trump and all the supporters of DAPL can start drilling again more easily. This is history repeating In regards to way the United States government has historically and currently treats Native Americans.
With a new administration coming to Washington, the time is NOW to ensure a full Environmental Impact Statement is conducted.
We’re asking you to call on the Army Corps, to demand that they formally register the EIS. Time is running out, and we urgently need your help. Stay tuned. #nodapl #standingrock #waterislife #rezpectourwater #ocetisakowin #standwithstandingrock #standingrocksiouxtribe #spencerkeetoncunningham
