There are trails in Florida 😄 For example, the Everglades National Park aka @evergladesnps has miles of trails, crocodiles 🐊 birds 🐟 bugs🕷and many bird species 🐤Who lives in Florida and what other trails are out there? Let us know below. 👇🏼🔹Thank you @an_joanna for sharing this wonderful photo with us!

  • spudgieI'm doing the challenge and am Florida bound tomorrow. I plan to hike at the same place! 👍🏼
  • soph.and.camille.do.oregonHawthorne Trail in Gainesville! You'll see more gators than you can count and a pack of wild horses!
  • soph.and.camille.do.oregonAlso, Devil's Millhopper in Gainesville!
  • soph.and.camille.do.oregonAnd Florida Caverns State Park near Tallahassee! The caves are incredible, especially in the heat of a Florida summer.
  • flminivanmamaOcean to lake trail! #floridatrail
  • mackmwilliamsThis is how I feel about kansas! We have. Breathtaking, very hilly trails contrary to popular belief that we are a flat state haha
  • ben_unlockedBlue Spring State Park is another beautiful place to hike in FL. Short and easy trails but packed with scenery and wildlife (and warm water swimming).
  • 52hikechallengeThanks for the great information @ben_unlocked
  • 52hikechallenge@mackmwilliams We sure hope to showcase Kansas hiking trails this year! :)
  • 52hikechallenge@soph.and.camille.do.oregon That sounds incredible! We love cave hikes!
  • mackmwilliams@52hikechallenge I've got a few of em up my sleeve, so I sure hope so! ❤️

  • adventurenwineBrooker Creek Preserve and Boyd Hill Nature Park have lots of hiking through the most beautiful nature scenes in Tampa Bay
  • tashanataylor1) Big Cypress National Park has the Florida Trail that starts at their Oasis Visitor Center (its Florida's Appalachian Trail that runs most of the length of the state). 2) Bill Baggs State Park (if you're in Miami and looking for great trails close to the city.) Because it's near the water, it gets a nice cool breeze and the lighthouse is fun to climb. 3) Hugh Taylor Birch State Park has nice shady trails that aren't too buggy. And it's close to Fort Lauderdale. 4) Riverbend Park up near Jupiter has nice wide trails and you can rent canoes too.
  • tashanataylorOh and Fakahatchee State Park is the orchid capital of Florida. It's breathtaking but really wild. Only go if you're prepared to have gators right on the trail.

  • kristina_cooke_I found a fun one in Big Shoals Public Lands near White Springs. It's out in the boonies but the Suwannee River flows nearby and it's a very peaceful 2.4 RT trail. You do have to look a little harder here in FL, but I'm determined to find those hidden treasures : )
