You’d be forgiven for thinking that spring had arrived early from this photo. But no, that’s not blossom. 
This is one of the eerie wintery landscapes shot by photographer Catherine Perkinton using an infra-red filter on her camera. The reason why the grass and trees appear so pink at this cemetery in Blair Drummond, Scotland, is because vegetation gives off more infra-red, or heat. And the end result is just breath-taking, wouldn’t you agree?
