Since launching in 2008, Asian Geographic Expeditions has brought the diversity of Asian exploration to our readers – on the road. This year, join one of our three Silk Road expeditions.
With previous expeditions including the majestic Ladakh in the Himalayas, the archaeological wonders of Siem Reap in Cambodia and adventures from Kashgar to Xi’an in China, Asian Geographic Expeditions follows the Silk Road via three iconic destinations.
June 2017:
Dunhuang, China
Journey to Dunhuang in China, located to the west of the Hexi Corridor, a major stop on the Silk Road best known for the nearby Mogao Caves, before venturing along this iconic route with our experienced expeditions team.

September 2017:
Samarkand & Bukhara, Uzbekistan
Explore Samarkand and Bukhara in untouched Uzbekistan. A crossroad of cultures and a centre for Islamic scholarly study, Samarkand boasts a history going back hundreds of years. Bukhara, a World Heritage Site, has over 140 architectural monuments waiting to be explored.

December 2017:
Fatehpur Sikri, India
Discover Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh, India. Once the capital
of the Mughal Empire, it is home to one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid. An important stop for merchants navigating the routes across northern India, it showcases the significant architectural achievements of the Mughal Empire from the late 16th century.

Expedition participants will enjoy a complimentary subscription to ASIAN Geographic magazines, and existing subscribers will be eligible for a registration fee discount.
