Meet the first 2017 Florida House intern, Kaitlin Santiago from Pensacola, FL! "I am currently a Sophomore at Pensacola State College. I plan to transfer in the Fall of 2017 to a University where I will continue my studies in Philosophy and Government. I am currently the Student Government President of the Florida College System - which allows me to travel the state so that I can work with the twenty-eight member colleges to create a platform of legislative issues pertaining to the progressive future of our Florida higher education system. I love to help others and I highly enjoy problem solving through creating innovative-solutions for whatever the task at hand may be. In the future I plan to help pioneer and effectively evolve online virtual reality education, so that students all over the world will be able to easily learn while interactively participating in the subject material before them. Also, I plan to assist in evolving online education tools pertaining to the political realm and seek to work on offering interactive tools that decipher legislation in creative ways for anyone interested in knowing about the legislation that effects them. I am so thankful and excited for my time as an intern for the Florida House. I know I will learn valuable real-world skills that I will be able to take with me wherever I go in the future."
