(YUM!) There's also a delicious crunchy topping made from toasted oats and brown sugar, too! They're super easy and make for a really awesome breakfast when spread with a dab of softened butter ☺ #QuakerOats Oat, Rosemary, & Date Scones

    1 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons Quaker Old Fashioned Oats (blend at high speed in a blender until ground into a powder, about
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    3 tablespoons granulated sugar
    1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and hard
    3/4 cup chopped pitted dates
    2/3 cup whole milk

    Oat & Brown Sugar Topping

    1 tablespoon Quaker Old Fashioned Oats
    1 tablespoon brown sugar

    Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In a blender or food processor, blend 1 3/4 cups of the Quaker Old Fashioned Oats at high speed until powdery, about 20 seconds.

    Stir together the powdered oats, remaining 2 tablespoons whole Quaker Old Fashioned Oats, flour, sugar, rosemary, baking powder, and salt until combined. Grate the butter over the bowl with the largest hole setting of the grater, pausing every 10 seconds to stir the grated bits into the mixture. Stir in the pitted dates and the whole milk. Mix the dough with your hands until it just comes together. It will be sticky, and that's okay.

    Turn out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and shape it into a circle, patting it down until it is about 2 inches thick. Use a large knife to cut the circle into sixths. Sprinkle the top with the 1 tablespoon Quaker Old Fashioned Oats and brown sugar. Place in the oven and bake until the edges are golden brown, and the top is golden, about 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
