Home made doughnuts with the most delicious  @maggie_beer Quince Paste filling! School holiday mornings need something extra special and this sweet-sour taste explosion of the Maggie Beer Quince Paste makes the little one's day (and mine)πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•.Like every other Maggie Beer product, this is UNIQUE! The doughnuts are pretty easy to make too.  Combine 1 cup plain flour, 1 tsp dried yeast, 1 tsp sugar, pinch of salt, 1/3 cup warm milk. 30 g melted butter and 1 egg yolk in a bowl. Mix in well until dough starts to come together. Knead on a floured surface and place in a greased bowl until the dough doubles in size (approx 1-1.5 hrs). Punch it down and knead again until smooth. Roll out the dough and let it rest for a few minutes. Using a round cutter, cut out discs. Re-roll the leftover dough to get more discs. Place on a baking tray for 30 mins to prove. Deep fry in oil until golden and puffed. Place on a plate lined with paper towel. Place 1/4 cup of Maggie Beer Quince Paste in a cup with 1 tsp water and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir with a spoon and place in a piping bag fitted with a round nozzle. Push the nozzle into the side of the doughnuts to fill in the quince paste. Dust with icing sugar.
