Cyrus M. Henry is a junior at William Hall High School in #WestHartford and has been a #Hartford Region Open Choice participant since kindergarten. Cyrus is not only a role model at his school but also within his community.
This past October, Cyrus turned 16 years old. As is customary in his Ghana heritage and church, Cyrus was presented to his community through a “Rite of Passage” as an adolescent becoming a man, which took place at the Artist Collective in Hartford. After the ceremony, the elders of the community congratulated Cyrus as the African drums were beating in the background. Celebrating this joyous moment in his life was Roz Pace, Hartford Region Open Choice Program resource specialist. #OpenChoice #schoolchoice
