**** RESIDENT ALERT *** This week we introduce you to Maria from TOM AND JELLY in container #10
Maria is a producer for Tom and Jelly, a production house based here at the Village which focuses on online visual content for top brands. She comes from Abrantes, but studied an undergraduate in marketing and business in Lisbon before jetting off to Rio de Janeiro for 5 years. There, she completed her masters in entertainment management and was a key organiser and producer in FESTLIP - Festival Internacional de Teatro da Lingua Portuguesa. Maria says that her soul is in Rio, but she wanted to return to Lisbon to spend time closer to her family.
Maria is ultra-organised and enjoys the variety that her job here offers. One day she’ll be speaking to the Navy and finding a lighthouse to shoot in, the next day she’ll be touring theatres to find the best auditorium, or she’ll be casting actors to appear in their videos. She likes being the doer on the team, making the creative ideas from the others and actually making them a reality.
It was exciting when Tom and Jelly decided to relocate to Village Underground. Maria immediately fell in love with the space and the ethos of the project. She particularly loves being able to out-cool her clients when she invites them for meetings on the bus. #happycoworkers #lifeinacontainer #creativecommunity #villageundergroundlisboa
