On December 11, 2016, the @LATimes published two reader letters in their Travel section that criticized a Times story about some of the @NationalParkService's civil rights sites, including #TuleLake and the #Manzanar National Historic Site (@ManzanarNPS). The letters essentially stated that the incarceration of Japanese Americans and their immigrant parents during #WorldWarII was justified for many of the same false "reasons" that have been proven to be entirely untrue decades ago.

That the Los Angeles Times published these letters in the first place is appalling and totally unacceptable.
