Meet Roz! Roselyn Pacè has been a CRECie for 20 years and is currently a resource specialist for the Hartford Region Open Choice Program. "Heritage is important. It defines my family and my identity. Although I was born and raised in Hartford, my parents always made sure that my siblings and I knew where our ancestors came from by teachable moments demonstrated through their values and norms that I now possess which makes me, me. Being Puerto Rican is awesome. My history is rich. My culture is dynamic. One can say that my passion towards advocacy and empowerment towards education via exposure to CREC programs, conferences, and working with families during our lottery season pushed me towards completing my own education and earning a master’s degree in social work. Now I am working in a program that allows me to work with students, families and communities that share CREC's vision and mission." Favorite quote: "Do not define me by what I am, but define me by who I am." #HispanicHeritageMonth #ProudtobeaCRECie
