** Statement** People are talking about The Great Trail, and that’s a good thing! We’re excited and grateful to see the articles, shares and comments circulating online. However, we’ve noticed some confusion about its uses, stemming from a particularly popular article released in the past week. The author stated that The Great Trail is one continuous bike path, which it is not. It is so much more than that! #TheGreatTrail is an epic trail of trails offering a wide range of outdoor experiences on land and water. You can enjoy walking/hiking, cycling, paddling, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling, through a variety of landscapes – urban, rural, and wilderness – along greenway, waterway, and roadway. The Great Trail will indeed span 24,000 kilometres once connected in 2017, when it will link our three oceans and connect over 15,000 communities. It will keep on growing and getting better from there, including developing more greenway and spur trails. Every Canadian province and territory is home to its own section of The Great Trail, so please check out our website, learn more about your Trail, and check out our map to find the section nearest you and enjoy it YOUR way! #Canada #Hiking #Cylcing #Paddle #Kayak #Crosscountry #Snowmobile
