- illmagoreToday I was punched in the face by a man who got out of his car and yelled, "Trump 2016!" in Los Angeles, just days after I returned home from London just down the road from my house. Though I encourage passion, opinion and emotion, especially though art, I think violence is disgusting. To live in a place where Facebook has given my address to an anonymous third party makes me anxious. This type of violence makes creatives feel like we live in a world where our individual creative input isn't safe. I am sad that this is the state of our America right now. I am sad that Trump, and many of his supporters, don't find words enough to express their opinions - they need walls, waterboarding and punches. @realdonaldtrump Please stop glamorizing and perpetuating violence. Make America Decent Again! #makeamericadecentagain No, they have not been caught, and the men drove off laughing. A detailed police report has been filed.
- sharonaviram@gainesgrove no, every freedom has a limit, a line that should not be crossed. YOU don't know what freedom is. If there was no limit we would be living in chaos.
- sharonaviram@gainesgrove she crossed the line and got into someone's private life, body parts... Not too long ago an art student published a portrait of one of the most important people in the country, with a rope around his neck. If you don't think this crosses the line them idk. We see things differently and it doesn't mean that you are right and I am wrong
- sharonaviram@gainesgrove at least we both love cats, so, lets support #adoptdontshop
- sharonaviram@gainesgrove lol why did you delete the comment about cats
- la_lochi@jerrysaltz @chicojefferson
- obsidisan@sharonaviram except you are wrong because physical violence such as this assault is an illegal act, not freedom of speech unlike painting. It's America not North Korea (a place that insists that it's 'freedom' is unparalleled) and it's time you learn to accept different opinions and look away if they don't fit into your spectrum. Instead of violently attacking someone for theirs. The painting by this women upset the man and the man upset the women by hitting her, only one of these was done to intentionally harm someone, and only those who are chicken shit act anonymously within groups. She's brave for dealing with ridiculous backlash.
- obsidisanI mean come on it's a painting! She hasn't tried to fucking assassinate him 😂
- sharonaviram@obsidisan btw I am not a Trump supporter and I am not even from the US. As Americans you would never understand why I can understand his ways. I don't agree with his acts and all the fucking stupid things he said/says but he is trying to defend the US. As a person who lives in a country that deals with terror attack every other day, I don't think he is totally wrong. And btw I am not saying this man should have hit her in the face, I don't support violence.
- gainesgrove@sharonaviram can't disrespect freedom then claim to love cats. Also it's easy to be on the outside and look inside and say things like "he is trying to defend the u.s." please look up trumps foreign business affairs. He has conflicts of interest. Also you can't say he is defending American if you yourself dint understand America's founding principles and our Constitution. Notice how I'm not assuming things about your nationality. Yet you do so about america. Read our consitution. Study our history
- gainesgrove@sharonaviram the sheer fact that you condone the violence done to this women over words she says is saddening. I encourage you to think about what you're stating. No one should be harmed for how they think or what they feel.
- sharonaviram@gainesgrove first of all the fact that you connect the love for animals and cats especially to this argue is sad. As I said before I did not say you are wrong or your opinion is wrong so don't say so about mine. Don't try to force me to learn things I already know or to believe something I don't. My opinion is that this drawing is disgusting, disrespectful, violence the guides of Instagram and this is something that kids should not see, and as we all know there are kids on Instagram and this can pop in their explore page. As I said I do not support the man that hit her, but I do not support this drawing at all, it disgusts me and for me this is crossing the line of freedom of speech and that is it. This argue is so useless seriously.
- gainesgrove@sharonaviram no. you questioned the drawings freedom to exist and implied she deserved it for drawing such things.
- sharonaviram@gainesgrove I did not question it I THINK this is crossing the line. I am not supporting this man for hitting her, as I said, and I would not hit anyone myself but maybe it will stop others from being provocative.
- sharonaviram@obsidisan I did not ask for your opinion especially not on myself cuz you don't know me, where I'm from and what my country is going through so stfu
- sharonaviram@obsidisan haha first of all you went pff topic first and dissed me without knowing me. I said my opinion as you and the other person said "freedom of speech". So yes I did the same cuz YOU had to diss me. If posting was publishing Instagram would not make the option of private profile lol. Same in Facebook and Twitter. I don't want any weirdos to see my photos or what I like and who I follow and seriously idk why I am even explaining this. Now that you feel down you diss me again from the tiny pic lol. Learn to accept others' opinions, after all Trump is the president lol and more people chose him so f u
- chinkillaThe guy who did this should be shot.
- aneartistic😡😡😡😡
- analogbroccoliIllma I love you and your work. I know you hate violence but I think the person that did this should be hurt physically very badly.
