ballbearingsmag"We live in a generation where you are expected to be better than your neighbor, where everything is a competition. Especially from country to country.
The expectation of our generation is to be skilled with technology, science, and math. To be businessmen and business women. So when someone differs from that expectation, they are sort of prejudiced, I guess. Almost discriminated against.
I can honestly say it’s hard to be an artist in this world. Musicians, dancers, photographers, all struggle to find jobs. My hope is that one day anyone, no matter their skill, whether it’s artistically or mathematically, can do what they love.
But as of now, our generation is being pushed toward the technical and scientific fields. We need to change that expectation.” - Lauren Fitzpatrick, 19 Photo by @trentonscroggins #millennials #college #debt #economics #work #studentloans #graduate #poor #finance #income #bb
