Awwwww nice to see the piano comic lit a fire for Amanda to finally take up some lessons! #Repost @ffriday with @repostapp.

I'm excited because this arrived today!
Early in the year I had this thought that I'd like to play the piano. It seemed a bit random and I let it pass.
Then a friend started learning guitar (@bellablack76). One day as she strummed away while we were on the phone she urged me to just try the piano. I started researching, and as can do, I overthought it ('sounds hard and frustrating and I'm too busy'). A little while later, at the end of an evening with a lot of wine, a friend of a friend mentioned that she teaches piano (@n_loca). Normally to kids, but sometimes to adults. This seemed perfect. But I was busy, and so I swore I'd be in touch soon. That was around April. I let it pass.
Then two weeks ago I saw a comic that brought to life a quote by James Rhodes titled 'Is that not worth exploring?' by Gavin at @zenpencils (check it out-it's great). James is a largely self taught pianist and his quote tore all my flimsy excuses to shreds. So I emailed my teacher, had my first lesson last week, and my keyboard arrived today. Here's to more doing and less overthinking!
