11 years ago this day, grandpa-my rebel pops-passed, the day before my birthday, and it was also a #BlueMoon. The eve before he left, I lied on the bed next to him, hand on his chest, his hand resting on my arm, and sang "Blue Moon" over and over in his ear to soothe him.
