#LISTEN #wow #singing: Deia has been on the planet for 6 years. She is owning #Journey (her choice). This is our 6th time getting together. After our first lesson i got choked up (because I had never seen such fierce fearlessness before-she was singing angelically and staring me down wolf-like) then she went home, immediately downloaded her homework i gave her, and made a clay sculpture of herself (while eating dinner) of what she will look like when she fronts her own rock band. I explained to her she has a good "work ethic" and got to tell her what that meant. She can even do raspy rock wailing - I'm just teaching her strength, good habits, and taking her down the road of fully realizing and controlling her own voice. One of the first things I teach kids is what #autotune is, how to recognize it, play them before and after autotune videos, and explain why we don't learn to sing to autotuned songs, and take them to a place of *their voice, not emulation. all my kiddies are so much fun - I'm so proud of them all! #singing #rockstar #kidsrock #vocallessons ✌️💛🙏🎶🎤 #TRIVIA :: her dad directed the #zerospace video!
