Feeling so incredibly lucky to be married to my best friend, lover and best husband @shey.gladstone.pdx.realtor. Happy 1.5 year wedding anniversary babe 🎉💝👫! Yay us for giving love a try one more time. Thank you babe for making sure Love day is celebrated not only on Valentine's Day. I am so grateful to have had time to spend with you and the kids celebrating love together. I created a charcuterie spread for us instead of doing what I originally planned and it turned out to be a pretty spectacular evening. Even though I am not a fan celebrating Valentine's Day outside of our house, I loved getting to spending it with my family. What are your plans for Valentine's dinner? If you don't have plans yet to make something special for someone... you must make this amazing salad. I stopped by my local @fredmeyerstores and picked up some fresh salmon and a few other goodies to add to this spectacular salad. Add a layer of your favorite salad leaves, I used radicchio and red leaf. I picked up radishes, French green beans that I steamed, homemade sweet potato chips cooked in a little bit of duck fat and sea salt, crispy skin salmon, roasted cauliflower with olive oil and smoked paprika salt, avocado rose and pepperoncini. I tossed it in a orange muscat champagne vinegar and lemon olive oil. Such a beautiful combination of flavors. I hope you get to make something special for your loved one... and if not make something special for you, because you are as special. Happy love ❤️ day everyone. I am definitely not a fan going out oon Valentine's Day, but I am a fan of making my husband feel extra loved today. I made us a nice breakfast and will be making a homemade dinner at home. Heart shaped everything this morning, waffles (I got them at @ikeausa) heart shaped eggs and hand cut heart sausages. Sometimes all you crave is the simple things in life like a bagel with cream cheese, capers, onions and lox. I feel like I haven't been on here in forever and I apologize for being MIA, I've had a bit of a rough week at work and just been super drained because of it. Baked this Funfetti birthday cake for my son Nikita's 10th birthday party over the weekend using @mollyyeh recipe. I made a hazelnut-cream cheese frosting and added Pocky sticks and raspberries to add my own twist to it. The kids loved the cake and I'm so glad I took the time to bake something for him. Can't believe I have a 10 year old, well he will be 10 on the 11th, but I won't be there for the first time in ten years to celebrate with him, so had to make it up with a great party. Still need a delicious and healthy appetizer for tomorrow's Game Day party? Make my mini hasselhoff potatoes topped with @epicbar duck fat and thyme, follow the link in my profile for the recipe. The great thing is that you can prep these today, bake them for the first 40 minutes covered. Then tomorrow all you have to do is crisp them up for the party. Serve with my homemade roasted garlic and thyme mustard-mayo dip. Make extra because these will be gone in minutes. Woke up to an icy Portland this morning. Since everyone was at home, it was nice to cozy up a bit longer in bed with the kids. I was craving sweet potato toasts with savory toppings while kids enjoyed a stack of pancakes that Shey made for them. @shey.gladstone.pdx.realtor and I got to enjoy this board of sweet potato toasts topped with @epicbar duck fat fried eggs, shishito peppers topped with @jacobsensaltco truffle salt, homemade guacamole, bacon and fresh tomatoes. If I was even into Super Bowl the slightest, I would probably eat a plate of this goodness. I made some sweet potato chips using a little bit of @epicbar duck fat to get them crispy.
