Just recorded a quick Shooting Stars podcast. Had a lovely time. Weasel looks like he's all neck in this photo. I can relate. Anyway, the episode will be up tomorrow. Not gonna tell you what we mostly talk about, but I bet you can guess. :)
I love this picture because my goal was to make it look as normal as possible but stand a few feet back so as to make my head appear tiny and stupid. And I nailed it. I achieved the goal of utter, photo-upstaging stupidity. It's important to remember that if you shoot for the stars and miss, you can still ruin photos like a dopey psychopath.
I was apartment hunting the other day and I went into this particular apartment building. Now, you guys know I like music, right? Ya shabababet I do! So, the lady who showed me around here informed me that this apartment building used to be a hotel, and it's the same hotel where the Eagles wrote "Hotel California." Now, you guys know I can be somewhat skeptical, right? Don't believe me? Exactly, I wouldn't either. The point is I got questions, man. So when the tour is done, I hop on over to this waiting area. Now, you guys know I'm a wizard, right? Like dark arts, I am a vessel for the dark one or whatever? Goont kul-zarf tocca? Nothing? Okay, well bottom line is I'm a wizard. So I sit down in this area and I do some incantations or whatever, and suddenly a time portal opens and I can see into the past. There are people all over the lobby, all excited to be in Hollywooood! It's all black and white, as were the colors of all the things back then. Now, I didn't see the Eagles there, but it was still a chill experience. After I finished the tour, I Googled the factoid and found it difficult to confirm. Nice lady though!
Had a great time doing new standup last night for a really fun crowd. Thanks to @peter_rollins for having me and thanks to @heatherlynmusic for the photo and the kind words! :)
The Toyota 86 is one awesome car. I got the chance to test drive it around Los Angeles, and I gotta say: I haven’t felt that much control around curves in my almost-thirty years of existence. What was I thinking? Where has this car been my whole life? The Toyota 86 acts like curves are long-lost relatives, the way it hugs them so well. The Toyota 86 hugs curves like I used to hug my sweet, Southern grandmother after she made me grits and pancakes. What I’m saying, you guys, is that the Toyota 86 is sleek, comfortable, and amazing to drive. If you don’t believe me, go test drive one yourself—though I will say that you should believe me and work on your trust issues. #ad @toyotausa #Toyota86
