#Repost @rollout The #Designlines booth at #IDS17, wallpaper by #Castordesign printed by #Rollout. #M74207281 is currently the largest known prime number. Discovered on January 7th, 2016, the number is 22,338,618 digits long. Written in scientific notation, the number is 2 to the power of 274,207,281– 1. It's part of an ongoing project by Castor Design, and will be shown at the #Designlines booth at Toronto's IDS with the new Big Switch table light. When viewed at a distance the printed number will look like a strip of grey wallpaper, but when viewed up close it will reveal itself to be a 45-foot strand of numbers printed in 3 pt font.
