"Walking through the fresh ash toward the main crater rim. We needed to walk single file as the terrain had changed somewhat from the day before -- not only ash, but some rock has been moved and some new vent appeared." . . . Carleton classes can take students all around the world. Students who took Field Geology II, a fourth-year Earth Sciences course, recently travelled to New Zealand with Professor Claudia Schroder-Adams.

Students living in residence often eat at the Fresh Food Company, an all-you-care-to-eat dining hall. With local vegetables and fruits, a wide variety of meals, and freshly prepared desserts, the Fresh Food Company has you covered!
There are always great views from the MacOdrum Library – even on a rainy day like today.
Today was the twentieth annual Carleton University Experience Day, where local grade 10 and 11 students came to campus for an introduction to university life. There was a full house for the keynote lecture by the School of Journalism and Communication.
Here's a quick tour of MacOdrum Library taken from its spiral staircase. Look through the large windows for an amazing view of the academic quad, and see some students at work in one of the library's collaborative study spaces.

Earth Sciences students explore the Vocontian Basin in the south of France in a field course with Professor Claudia Schröder-Adams. The Earth Sciences program offers the opportunity to participate in hands-on field courses in Ontario, across Canada and around the world. 🌍
