We are delighted to announce the launch of a new super-resolution microscopy technology, available on our single photon sensitive #iXon #EMCCD cameras. ‘#SRRF-Stream’ unlocks real time super resolution fluorescence microscopy on most modern microscopes, using conventional fluorophores at low illumination intensities, thus making it highly compatible with live cell imaging. A resolution improvement from 2- to 6-fold (50-150nm final resolution) can be expected for most datasets. Find out more about this ground-breaking technology: http://www.andor.com/srrf-stream

On Saturday 20th May, we will be taking part in a sponsored walk to raise money for our charity of the year, The Northern Ireland Children's Hospice. Our walk will commence at the Civic Centre, Lisburn for a duration of 17½ miles, finishing at Whiteabbey. An alternative shorter walk (9½ miles) is optional, starting at Cutters Wharf (Stranmillis, Belfast). The two walks will join at Cutters Wharf, continuing the walk together. Food and refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk in Whiteabbey. Show your support and join our walk ... or alternatively you can sponsor those taking part.
We will be attending Focus On Microscopy (FOM) in Bordeaux, France from April 9th - 12th, 2017 along with the team from Bitplane. We recently presented a cheque to Richard Gilliland from the @alzheimerssoc for an amazing total of £20,100, which was raised throughout various fundraising events in 2016 when they were our chosen charity for the year. This is an outstanding amount and will go a very long way to help directly improve the lives of people living with dementia and also help researchers in the fight to find a breakthrough to cure the disease. Thank you all for your support of this very worthy charity!
We are delighted to announce that we are supporting the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice this year as our chosen charity. Throughout the year we will host a number of events that will aim to raise money for the outstanding work the charity does in providing physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to children and their families. We recently held a coffee morning to kick off the fundraising for 2017 and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and the volunteers who helped set up. Your generous donations helped us raise a fantastic total of £550! Stay tuned for future updates about our funding events in the coming months :)
